By accessing or using FluentCards ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

Description of Service

FluentCards provides a web-based flashcard application for language learning. The Service includes spaced repetition review using the FSRS algorithm, text-to-speech pronunciation, and AI-powered mnemonic generation. The Service is provided free of charge and may display advertisements via Google AdSense.

User Accounts

You may be required to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

User Content

You retain all rights to the flashcard decks and content you create ("User Content"). By making a deck public, you grant other users the right to view and clone your deck. You represent that your User Content does not violate any third-party rights.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Upload content that is infringing, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
• Use the Service to distribute spam or malicious content

Intellectual Property

The FluentCards name, logo, and interface design are proprietary. The FSRS algorithm is used under license from its creators. The Service's code is built with open-source technologies (Astro, React, Tailwind CSS) but the overall application is protected by copyright.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

FluentCards and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
